Preparation classes for the official Proficiency exam

Among the many courses we offer at FunTalk English school, we find the preparation for the official Cambridge exams, specifically the Proficiency (C2). This is the highest level accredited by Cambridge, almost equivalent to native English. The course is aimed at teenagers from ESO and adults who already have a good base and who wish to reach a higher level of English language proficiency. In order to take this course, it is not necessary to have previously passed the First Certificate or Advanced. However, it is essential that students start from an intermediate level in order to achieve the C2 accreditation without so much difficulty and in just a few months of preparation. The teachers at our academy are fully familiar with this type of exam, so the classes will focus on enhancing and improving the four areas that are assessed in the Proficiency exam. These are the same as in the B2 and C1 exams but, of course, adapted to a higher level. Basically they evaluate the student’s competencies in reading comprehension, writing comprehension, oral comprehension, use of english and listening comprehension. Whether you need the certificate for academic or work purposes, or for your own satisfaction, having the C2 certificate in English can open many doors and allow you to travel to any English-speaking city, make presentations or oral presentations fluently and with a rich vocabulary and, if you wish, speak English all the time.

Do you need to obtain the official C2 English certificate?

If you need to officially accredit your knowledge of the English language, specifically level C2, FunTalk is your best option. All the teachers and the learning method is based on the official Cambridge exams, in order to ensure the most satisfactory results and to achieve the qualification you need in the shortest possible time. Our methodology is totally innovative and effective, which is fully reflected in the results obtained by our students. By forming small groups of a maximum of 8 students, we are able to offer personalized attention adapted to the needs of each student. In addition, this also allows us to keep the pace of the class according to the level of each of the participants and also allows us to practice the oral part of the exam in pairs or groups. Detailed schedules of the C2 preparation courses

The Proficiency preparation courses are fully designed so that anyone can attend. Therefore, we have different time slots and days that allow you to combine classes with other responsibilities, such as work or studies. Currently, we offer a course of one class per week of 2 hours, a course of two classes per week of 1.5 hours each, and also an intensive course of 6 hours per week, divided into three classes of 3 hours. As you can see, schedules are no longer an excuse to prepare for the official English Proficiency exam.

How many classes per week should I attend?

The answer depends on the objectives you have set for yourself. We have the course of one class of 2 hours per week, the course of two classes of 1 hour and a half per week and also a weekly intensive of 6 hours divided in 3 days. We recommend that you check your availability and consider how soon you want to have the certificate. If you need help, our teachers will provide you with the necessary advice.

How long does it take to prepare for the First Certificate?

The answer is very relative. Those who opt for our intensive course of 6 hours per week and who have a very advanced knowledge, will be able to take the official Cambridge exam in a few months. However, those who cannot attend so many hours due to lack of time availability, or because they have set long-term goals, will have to attend for much longer. Keep in mind that at FunTalk we always adapt to the needs of each student and try to meet their goals and objectives in the desired time.
