FunTalk Inauguration

img_0504Last Thursday the 22nd of September, FunTalk held its inauguration party and opened its doors to all ages, for children, teens, and adults, to show a new language learning experience. First of all, thank you very much to all of you who came to celebrate with us and who helped make it a success. In caseimg_0455 you missed out on the fun, here’s a little taste of what happened and what the courses will be like for this year.

The FunTalk inauguration was based on a circus theme and there were a total of four workshops running at the same time organized by our fantastic FunTalk team. Before reaching our doors, you couldn’t help but see our juggling clown on stilts giving you a fun welcome. Guests were firstly directed to our technology teacher who designed a treasure hunt which took students through each
room on the premises using QR codes to scan each code which then gave you a clue that lead to the next room and the next QR code.

Our arts and crafts teacher organized an event in the arts and crafts room where students had to identify shapes and colors, then stick the colorful shapes on img_0487a paper plate to create a crazy clown face. Then moving back through the rooms, our circus teacher created an obstacle course full of fun games, such as walking on a tight rope, throwing a ball through a lion’s mouth, identifying and placing body parts on a clown, and finally drawing your own favorite animal on the chalk board. Moving on to the last room, the FunTalk Kitchen turned into a chocolate making activity, where students had to match vocabulary with the ingredients and followed a recipe to make their own delicious chocolate. Parents and adults even had the chance to participate in a cocktail making workshop, again identifying vocabulary with the ingredients to makeimg_0480jpg their own tasty cocktail.

All activities are in English and demonstrate our fun, dynamic and interactive way of learning. Registration is this week and FunTalk courses begin the first week of October, so sign up now before the classes fill up!
